Product Introduction
Product Brief
Mineral Insulated (MI) Cable is composed of copper conductors, mineral insulation, filling materials, and copper or aluminum sheaths. It boasts unique advantages that traditional cables lack, as detailed below:
- Superior fire resistance: Its fire resistance rating not only meets the requirements of Class A in the national standard GB 12666.6 (withstanding 950℃ for 90 minutes) but also complies with the specifications of the British standard BS 6387 - 1994, including Class A (650℃ for 3 hours), Class B (750℃ for 3 hours), and Class C (950℃ for 3 hours). Additionally, it can withstand water spraying and mechanical impacts while burning.
- Long continuous length: Both single - core and multi - core versions can meet the power supply length requirements, with the continuous length of each cable exceeding 1000 meters.
- Smoke - free and non - toxic when burning: The inorganic insulation materials prevent the emission of harmful gases during combustion, avoiding secondary pollution. It is thus an environmentally friendly product.
- High safety: The fire - resistant cable can maintain normal power supply in flames (continuously operating for over 3 hours at 950℃), which enables the activation of fire - fighting equipment and minimizes fire losses. Moreover, the copper sheath serves as an excellent conductor and an ideal grounding wire, significantly enhancing the sensitivity and reliability of grounding protection.
- Easy handling: The transportation, installation of flexible fire - resistant cables and their accessories are straightforward, similar to that of ordinary cables.
Application Fields
It can be laid in power transmission and distribution lines of key locations such as tunnels, cable trenches, cable trays, troughs, shafts, high - rise buildings, rail transit systems, hospitals, shopping malls, exhibition halls, garages, entertainment venues, and data centers.
